SHINE BRIGHT SHINE

Art project ,,Shine Bright Shine"
Our art project-study goal was to get to know the history, audience and values of the old planetarium, which has now transformed into a bar. In this series of works "Shine Bright Shine" we are trying to reveal the changing social landscape of the former planetarium. We created an evaluation of the place keeping in mind the cognitive path through its multipurpose history as well as our own personal experiences

Why did we choose the planetarium? - because it is the building at the Vilnius center that many people can’t recognise anymore and which has lost its meaning. It is the object of light, knowledge, and observation that has been adapted over time to match people's needs.
The building, that used to be the planetarium, has now become a bar, where you can still see the spinning stars, though not as bright as before. In the installation ,,Shine Bright Shine” we created a room full of light reflections in which we show varying prints made by using the same zinc plates, but in different order and groups, so that we could construct different contexts and experiences.
